There goes the neighbourhood and the environment....

(I was no great fan of John Howard, either, but clearly he had some qualities that only his Party knew while we were not privy to them.)

Good leadership, care for the people of Australia, concern and workable strategies for the difficult issues facing us, intelligent approaches to the real dangers... These are the things I'd like to see addressed, but I don't think we're going to see it. Perhaps I'm wrong.

I like Rudd, he is one of the first leaders that has actually tried to fix things that were neglected by the previous government. I dont like everything he is doing - but it was under his leadership that this country was one of the very few not to go into recession. Yes - he threw money at the problem - but I think it was needed.

Where I live the schools all had too many demountables - even the brand new ones - now they all have extra classrooms being built finally, and that is good for the economy and society in general.

Just take ETS for instance.....The Liberals have an argument against it...labour is pushing it through like a locomotive...and yet none of the people either party represent have the slightest clue what the pros and cons are?...sound right to anyone?.....talk about arrogance...both sides of the fence.

If Tony Abbott (Or Rudd for that matter) want's to demonstrate any level of respect for the Australian People or their intelligence then perhaps he and Rudd can have a debate about ETS on TV and spell out exactly what this whole thing is about.

It is well enough time for those in Government to actually state their true reasons for opposing the growth of this Country.

Special interests?...Yep...I'm sure some of those opposed to seeing us front up at Coppenhagen with a true interest in where our Country is heading..have other agendas.

For those that don't know...I am pretty much involved in hoping that our Government does the right thing.

I'm a bit of a small fry in the whole equation...but I am also in a position where I can actually have a good 'vibe' when it comes to seeing what the people of this Country actually want!

Policies brought forward when we go to the vote after the double diss, will have a huge bearing on who gets elected......the people of this Country want to preserve this land for their children...and want to know they are actually instrumental in having a say and making changes that will benefit the Country as a whole.

I actually spent about 30+ minutes today talking with just one client and discussing this subject...and I was quite impressed with how they were willing to take the time to allow things to be achieved with patience and the belief that the outcome is inevitable.

As most good things are...it won't happen overnight....but it WILL happen.

People today are more in tune with understanding how the things we do today will affect all our futures.

And if they don't understand...their ever increasing energy bills will shock them into accepting the fact that something has to be done.

I'm sitting back a bit on this subject right now...but will add more when I learn more.

There is too much at stake to jump in with all guns blazing..as that only achieves a very high casualty list..lol

Does he have a compilation CD out? I know my Lil Roo would love watching it..lol...gotta get em interested when they are young..lol
