Hi Tello, Interesting reading, the feeling seems to be the same all over ha?

Comment 15 hits home for me..."No sense of community or belonging." sadly I feel this is becoming true for me too.

Kind of reflects the situation in the entire country right now.....a big frickin' mess. the timing was pretty crap to be making changes that alienate sellers, when companies are fighting to stay afloat..lol!!!

Police urge caution after Craigslist-related robbery (Dayton C&P)

DAYTON - Police are continuing to investigate a woman's report that she was robbed at gunpoint Wednesday, June 3, after posting on the classifieds Web site Craigslist that she was selling a 5-carat diamond ring. Dayton police Sgt. Moises Perez said detectives still had limited details Thursday afternoon. The woman called police Wednesday evening and said a man robbed her at about 8 p.m. in the parking lot of Rally's, 1111 S. Smithville Road. The woman said she arranged to meet the would-be buyer after advertising the ring on Craigslist, and he pulled a large revolver and robbed her of the ring, Perez said.

It was at least the third report in three months that Dayton police received regarding a robbery that stemmed from a Craigslist ad.

In April, a Centerville teenager and his father told police a man robbed them after they met hoping to buy a PlayStation 3 video gaming system. The pair met the supposed seller at a Family Dollar store on North Main Street in Dayton and got into the back of a car with a man who said he was the seller's brother.
The suspect guided the car to a nearby alley and pointed a handgun at the pair, according to a police report. The teen's father then struggled with the suspect for the gun, and the suspect fled.

In March, a man reported that his car had been stolen after a supposed buyer contacted him through Craigslist, Perez said. The suspect test drove the vehicle, and several hours later the man discovered the car missing. Police believe the suspect made a copy of the car's keys while driving it and returned later to steal the car, Perez said.

Perez said that sellers posting ads on Craigslist or similar classifieds areas should encourage first contact by e-mail instead of by phone to create a trail for police to follow if something goes wrong. It's also best to meet at a public place, Perez said, perhaps even near a police station. "That might discourage the guy from showing a gun," Perez said.
