eBay have confirmed that the same date applies to listings on eBay AU.
eBay member shipscript has created a handy tool to check your listings in bulk.

Starting July 1 2013, eBay will start enforcing these picture quality requirements on all new, revised, and relisted items:
All photos must be at least 500 pixels on the longest side of the picture.
Photos cannot have borders.
Photos cannot have seller-added text or seller-added artwork.
When you list a used item outside of books, movies, music, and video games, you cannot use the eBay catalog stock photo in the primary photo position. You must upload your own photo.
You must upload at least one photo per listing.

An important note:
All new and revised listings and relistings are subject to the picture quality requirements, including Good ‘Til Cancelled listings. Existing Good ‘Til Cancelled listings that automatically renew (without revisions) will not be impacted at this time.

Wheels, I rang them and told them to jamb their new rules where the sun don't shine, literally.
I told them quite clearly I would not be complying with their silly photo rules .
Will be interesting to see where it leads. For now they haven't touched me.

 I just posted a link to the FAQs page on your other thread.

Friar, if you host the photos elsewhere rather than have them uploaded to eBay's picture hosting service, you will not be forced into compliance with these new rules.
