I've been following the saga of the eBay emails; it seems ludicrously unfair.
I received one of the "form" emails by eBay when a recently purchased object was marked as sent. I didn't like it; it seemed impersonal, and it seemed as though eBay were sticking their nose into the transaction rather than allowing the seller to inform me of whatever was necessary.
I often receive personalised communications from sellers, and it helps me to know something about them. I have been a repeat buyer from sellers whose communication style struck me as warm, informative, sufficient, professional, etc. Now that way of judging a seller has been taken away from me. The words "NOT HAPPY" come to mind.
