STEPS YOU SHOULD TAKE:

1. Do not click to be unsubscribed to the mailing list. By clicking that link in the email, you will only confirm that your email is in use.
2. Do not click any link in the email. You will only run the risk of downloading malware.
3. Do not reply to the email. By responding in any way, you will only confirm that your email is in use - or make of yourself a target. Don't do it. The best response is none.
4. Do not keep the email. MARK IT AS JUNK, then delete is and purge it completely from your "Deleted" folder.

There is a similar email apparently which purports to be from Firefox. DON'T BELIEVE THESE EMAILS.

If you want the latest Adobe updates, go directly to www.adobe.com. Do not turn left or right; download only from the absolutely trusted source.

Well, I'm feeling a bit unwanted.  :(

I rarely get any spam emails at home. I get heaps of them at work, especially the ones where I've inherited or won lotsa money.

The emails are arriving here twice a day, one goes through to junk mail, one ends up in the inbox.   :enraged:

The internet providers must have different levels of filters in their systems. At work we use netspace and seem to get heaps of garbage. I have a gmail account and my isp account and they are both fairly spam free.

Sometimes fairly spam free means bad news.

The spam filter might accidentally filter legitimate emails though. Gmail is doing a very good job but not perfect. It is worthwhile to regularly check your spam folder.

Thanks Low, I just checked my gmail spam folder and yes, both those emails are in there. Along with lots of special offers for anatomical enlargements and little blue pills!

Gmail once accidentally filtered off an ebay message from a seller. It was for a coin I purchased and seller discovered it was cleaned after the auction ended and asked if I still want the coin.

I didn't check the spam folder and missed that email. Only realized about that email when I told the seller the coin was cleaned, and she told me she sent me a message before I paid. When she saw my payment she thought I still want the coin.

So sorry to her. She is kind enough to accept the return and bear the postage cost for my carelessness of not checking my ebay message through ebay website instead rely on gmail.

I learnt my lesson to not rely on spam filter.
