Title: Explain this one to me...
Post by: *Brum6y* on October 06, 2010, 06:26:31 PM
A registered article hadn't been received and the tracking was looked up to find out what was going on.

Can somebody please explain the second line - when it was addressed to a P.O. Box ?????

either 1 of 2 things , you are searching on the wrong number or the sorters have pressed the wrong code button when scanning it at that point

No, no. It's perfectly clear. The little pixie who lives in the PO Box was off taking the woodlice for a walk.

Never trust a pixie to be there.

The code is correct. The item has since been collected and I have the actual label in front of me.

The real curiosity is that the whole delivery sequence is for a normal street address.

My only guess is that it got into the wrong bag and ended up on the rounds instead of being taken directly to the post office.... but did that mean the driver went to the PO Box and knocked on the little metal door? And when no-one answered, scanned the attempted delivery?

I have since spoken to the person who collected the article - they showed the information to the lady in charge at the P.O. and asked how it could happen ... and they admitted they had no idea. (They know the lady in charge - who knows their stuff - and most of the staff, who are usually quite good.)

Now why did that bring a smile to my face...?

Nothing to do with putting two thoughts in the same mental space like "Australia Post" and "off with the pixies" could it?

Maybe..... :)

Why does eBay have this policy?

eBay urges its sellers and buyers to comply with all governmental laws and regulations.
If, for ANY reason you don't like it and post your angst on the eBay Forums, Facebook or the OzRT, we will BAN YOU FOR LIFE. We are eBay: don't flock with us!
Since the sale of live animals and wildlife products is in some cases prohibited, highly regulated, or may cause harm to eBay or its members, sellers are restricted in their listing of them on eBay.
