Federal Court slaps online retailer Ozdirect with injunctions

THE competition watchdog has won a temporary court order that prevents retailer Ozdirect Online Brands from advertising and accepting money for goods it cannot supply.

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission took the company and its director, Paul Albright, to court after customers complained they paid for that goods were never delivered and no refund was provided.

The online retailer sells electronic goods online at www.ozdirect.com, www.ozdirect.com.au and www.ausbuys.com, has extensive sponsored links via eBay, and operates the online blog http://thebigdigital.com

Very interesting article Wheels. Good to see that the "competition watchdog" has done something about an online seller not delivering paid for goods.

Also somewhat of a precedent as far as online traders go....who knows....ACCC may be getting the picture finally.....lol

This is great news - it's about time that businesses who don't provide the goods for which they have been paid are taken to task.
