I believe good leadership is essential, and it's sad to see that the Liberal party has not had powerful and effective leadership for a while. (I was no great fan of John Howard, either, but clearly he had some qualities that only his Party knew while we were not privy to them.)
Good leadership, care for the people of Australia, concern and workable strategies for the difficult issues facing us, intelligent approaches to the real dangers... These are the things I'd like to see addressed, but I don't think we're going to see it. Perhaps I'm wrong.
