Has anyone else received this little gem from eBay ?
« on: February 04, 2010, 11:07:20 AM »
In late March eBay will be introducing a new form of assistance to
sellers with the introduction of an Australian-based business
development team.

The new Australian-based business development team will assist sellers
by providing:

- Business development advice
- Information about shopping trends among buyers
- Training and events
- Help with sourcing products

Importantly, all Powersellers will still be able to access phone support
through the current number: 1800 088 741.

To help eBay assess which sellers will be assigned these resources from
late March, we have developed the following survey, which requires your
input:

http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/ebaysrq2

We look forward to your responses and working with you to make eBay an
even greater place to sell in 2010 and beyond.

Yours sincerely

Jeffery Ta.
eBay Customer Support

I Replied and complained about the survey being called surveymonkey

although thats typical of eBay refering to the sellers as monkeys !!!!

The Brain Washing begins......more herding of sellers like sheep into their designated sales paddock.....baaaaaahhhhhhh!!!! but don't expect phone support....in Ebay space nobody hears sellers scream and nobody wants to = Delete.

survey monkey has nothing to do with eBay

it's merely a site another can use to host a survey

Sprouts may appear to be friendly but, they are extremely dangerous & under no circumstances should anyone attempt to eat one of them.

Be warned.

Hi Dave,

Surveymonkey.com is widely use by online business to carry out survey. It is common for people to use funny (or not so funny) and easy to remember domain name.

If you want to take up the survey, just follow the link Smee posted. Otherwise, you can ignore the message.

I just filled out the survey, I suspect I will be ignored as my user names I povided were privateme and private2.

I also posted this in final comments, I know this alone will make my survey invalid.

Quote
Ebay needs to reduce final value fees to Amazon levels at least. And paypal needs to sign the Australian EFT code. Paypal also needs to stop holding funds when and if it feels like it. Telephone and feedback support is needed. Best match needs to be thrown away is too complicated for buyers to understand. Free postage promotions need to be confined to cheap small light items. Expensive large 20 KG items can vary dramatically on transport costs. 20 kms by local courier can be $5 , while 3000 kms fully insured, person to person and trackable can cost $200 or more. Ebay can only ever be a venue let each market area find its own level of trading conditions and prices.

What's the going price for a keyboard these days. I'm thinking I should get a new one. Too many Pepsi Max spills on my current one.

Ubb - depends on what you want.

Cupie's $10 (wired I would say) keyboard is around about where prices start. On my other machine I have a Logitech wireless keyboard+mouse that cost me around $35 ... and you can crack $150 or more if you want.

Serious gamers can spend $$$'s on a good mouse - I'm sure Yib would know about those.

Hmm. Takes less than 5 seconds here.

Link to a free on-screen virtual keyboard software.

I am on 2mb adsl connection.

Something like the on-screen keyboard you see on a pocket pc. Good only when you don't have a keyboard.

Yes, skype works very well with broadband. In the previous company I worked, we use skype for conference call with the sales people in Indonesia and China. They are on slower broadband, but sounds quality is perfect. It is free.

Skype just sends 1's and 0's like any other internet technology.

The faster you can send and receive them, the more information can be sent.  With Skype this means better quality pictures with less jerkiness and better quality sound.

The one thing that can be a problem (aside from breakdowns) is internet congestion. Too many people dragging too many 1's and 0's around and trying to do it at the same time.
