Interesting (Alibaba and PayPal breakup).

It's the first indication I've seen that PayPal may feel a tad threatened by the continuing rise of Chinese wholesale.

I wonder whether a new payment method - AliPal or perhaps PayBaba - will appear...

If the indication given that PayPal wanted to increase fees because of too many 'consumer' purchases than 'business' purchases is correct, then I would expect PayPal to take a firm stand if they were told to "Ali-off".

Maybe this is just brinkmanship on their part - hoping that AliExpress will cave.......?

I've been following the saga of the eBay emails; it seems ludicrously unfair.

I received one of the "form" emails by eBay when a recently purchased object was marked as sent. I didn't like it; it seemed impersonal, and it seemed as though eBay were sticking their nose into the transaction rather than allowing the seller to inform me of whatever was necessary.

I often receive personalised communications from sellers, and it helps me to know something about them. I have been a repeat buyer from sellers whose communication style struck me as warm, informative, sufficient, professional, etc. Now that way of judging a seller has been taken away from me. The words "NOT HAPPY" come to mind.

Countessa, from what my seller friend is telling me - get used to it.

It appears eBay are taking further control of communications and are going to remove all access to buyer email addresses from sellers ... so if there is a need for any special communication, it will have to be via 'contact a member'.  Very inefficient and breaks the connection to the item in question.

WILMINGTON, Del., June 10 (Reuters) - California-based eBay Inc and other companies should expect to fight their legal battles in Delaware if they decide to organize under the state's popular corporate law, a federal judge ruled.

New York man tries to sell 2010 Camaro SS, wife on eBay

Divorce can be messy, often resulting in items like sports cars being sold off as the couple splits up the assets but one guy from Lancaster, New York has gone to eBay in an effort to sell his 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS – or his wife – going so far as to offer up a side-by-side comparison of the two.
