I have one domain name with this mob,  http://www.name.com/pricing I did it for mutipule years and they take paypal.

another thing that you need to consider is privacy, this mob through it in free. The other registar I use charges an extra $15 a year

Hosting is a whole different thing and would depend a little on how much support you may need.  http://www.jumba.com.au may have something.

if you want some light reading and some insight have a read here and you will quickly find the ones to avoid. http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum/116

Bunny, I don't have an online store, but I have set up a couple of websites for different businesses.

I've used www.webcity.com.au

They are reliable and have well priced hosting plans. For a basic site you'd probably only need their $10/mth plan. You can either use your own web design program or they have an easy to use website builder. They also have good support and customer service. If you sell multiple items to each customer you may need a shopping cart application - I'm not sure if their website builder includes a shopping cart.

A suggestion: have a look at some online stores and when you find any that you like, see if their web developer is listed (usually down the bottom of the page). If you need a shopping cart, some programs are free (but unless you have a computer background, they can be difficult to master), others charge a monthly fee. Some developers will create an online site using the free cart software for reasonable prices.

Oops, I just reread this thread.   Apologies for another wheels in mouth moment!

Sorry Countessa, didn't realise you had another hat as a web host and developer. Bunny, I'm sure Countessa would be able to answer all your questions.
