Do sales usually drop off this week or will there still be buyers next week? I wouldn't like to risk leaving purchases until next week in case any deliveries are held up in the mail. My regular delivery driver turned up today and I met her in the driveway to save her the walk to the house - the parcels were literally falling out the back of the van. She also worked last Sunday and will be working again this Sunday.

My sales have slowed right down from 2 weeks ago, but then what I sell isn't a priority Christmas gift! Still getting a few sales though! :kisslittle:
A friend in a RL shop says her sales have been constant this week so far, and there were people looking to buy for posting off, in her shop today as I spoke to her, so there are still sales happening....
And some always leave it til the last minute then ask for express post! :shakehead:
:wcat:
-
Bella, do the buyers expect the express post cost to be included, or do you charge extra?
-
I always pass on the extra cost wheels- my quoted price is always for regular post. I've never had a problem with them paying extra, so far they have all expected to pay for it!
-
Evening.. Bella...wheels... :)
-
Hello Yibs, good to see you back!
-
Thanks Bella. We have a couple of listings finishing tomorrow and I'm not sure whether to relist.
-
Hi Wheels, not a good idea to relist if it is a coin. Other than that, I don't know.
-
I've barely started Christmas shopping. Got eight days off next week, so watch me screaming around the shopping centres then, LOL.
Still buying online, one auction is due to finish today - will happily pay extra for express post. If it doesn't arrive in time, is my own fault for leaving it so late.
I don't know how people are organised enough to have all their shopping done a month before the big day? :filenails:

M@ggie, I've got all the toy buying done. I was volunteered to buy multiple gifts for seven under 8 year olds so that the rellies who are flying in from interstate didn't have to bring presents with them. I was given very detailed lists of their favourites so it was fun and a bit of a nightmare - I'd never even heard of Ben 10 before! I still haven't bought my own kids presents though.
-
Ugh - better you than me.
My girl wants hair extensions this year. Great that I don't have to think of something to buy the child who has everything (well, not everything, just everything she needs), not so great on the wallet! Someone told me good ones can cost up to a grand?! :hanky:
-
Anything to do with real hair is very costly - I remember looking at some amazing wigs for someone, and being staggered at the cost.
My gifts are all purchased (I think - may have to double-check), but I'm still waiting on things to arrive.
-
Some years I have had buyers buying on the 23rd and expecting payment to process and express post delivery on 24th. I learnt to just say yes, and say too bad when arrived on 30th. 49% of people are below average intelligence and below average education . The worst 30% make up the bulk of ebay buyers and the percentage is rising.
-
Shyer, do you buy on eBay?
-
Shyer, do you buy on eBay?
Yes by value abut 70% of what I sell . In fact I buy more individual items than I sell as packages.
-
Q. When do you think buyers wull stop buying for Christmas?
A. i think they have stopped wheelsie....... lol
big wave to wheels (not tsunami)
-
It's post-Christmas now...
My seller friend reported that in a 12 hour period yesterday, they sold more than they had over the previous 7 days......
SO - who's up for a post-Christmas rush?
-
Sales and questions started on 1st for me and a very busy long weekend with some prices 200% of what average has been. With lots of views and watchers.
My buying watching list got to under 10 items and slowly climbed to over 10 now. It seems a lot more BINs and auction starts at stupidly high prices.
