Who says you can't take your rocket stove with you when you go?

Probably not good to be promoting, in light of the mentality of people these days, combined with the fires we’ve endured up here.....🤷🏼???
The old saying,”don’t give anyone any big ideas” comes to mind when I see this photo.

we can go days without power as Crestline and Cedar Pines had to last year....and.....those gas pipes under the streets are old!......so are the water pipes!.....Eartquakes can happen with a foot of snow and ice!

That wheelbarrow doesn’t seem sturdy. It seems like an un stable advertisement for heat to me. Maybe a photo of a safer one from Lowe’s or Home Depot?
Steven Michael King
Paige Renfro I would suggest low and wide.....Ive seen rednecks use in summer time for a small pool made in back of pick up truck using tarp.....obviously common sens should prevail.....a stove that uses thermal mass to store heat will use less fuel if… See More

and were gonna get more snow rain and power outages some time between now and May!......and were gonna get a big earth quake some time between now and 2999.....which may seem like a long time......but not in cosmic time!

hope the batteries are working on your co2 alarm
Steven Michael King
thats an outside arrangement....there may be times, such as after an earthquake......where outside may be safer than inside....if enough infra structure gets damaged.....water and gas pipes can break.....and while turning it off is fast....replacing mass damaged infra structure could take a while....
Heidi Mae
Steven Michael King copy, some may get confused though. But wouldn't it be dangerous to be burning a fire near potential broken gas mains? But during up earth quakes, fires, snow storms, the like. Just saying some may take this actually is a suggestion for heating the inside of their house.
Steven Michael King
safer in your frint yard than house...if house is structurally damaged.....they would likely get the gas turned off fast.....but if miles upon miles of pipe gets damaged......thats gonna take a while
Heidi Mae
Steven Michael King of you have a front yard....... if I disasters bad enough they're probably not going to be able to get to the gas mains... So prudent procedures might be a better idea....
Steven Michael King
my guess is...if houses are unsafe....folks would kind of camp in groups and help each other.....it depends on what time of year it is.....winter with broken houses plus snow would be less than pleasureable unless people had good equipment....
Steven Michael King
Heidi Mae in a large thing.....gas wont pump without electricity....and small gas pumps will run out of fuel after days/weeks if not replenished....propane will run out fast....so there needs to be back up fuels and related....

Steven Michael King yep totally understand. 40 some odd year resident of mountain communities. I get it. You're missing the point that some people are going to take you literally that this should be an alternative heating source for power outages that may have with the coming winter storms. That seems to be the point many people are trying to make to you over and over again
Steven Michael King
Heidi Mae brain injuries make writen very challengin....speech was regained faster......its still gonna take a few years to get to how I was before....
Heidi Mae
Steven Michael King how do you know I have a TBI too. It's crazy right
Steven Michael King
TBIs can take many years if ever, to recover....so do NOT give up!....no matter how slow recovery goes....The 3 months in the hosp9ital....the many dozens of MRI,s Ctscans, PETD, SPECT and other...I had only 2 body functions, breathing and blinking...t… See More

seriously I have had 2 TBI's in the last 4 years so I get it. (not really sure how that fits in to the relevance of this post but ok) The point here is that people may ready this the wrong way and think this is appropriate for use IN their home.
Steven Michael King
I cant imagine a wood fire not properly vented for exhaust.....and quite frankly....all fossil fuels create Caron dioxide, Carbon Monoxide and way way worse.......so obviously common sense must apply

That's bitchin!
