And now for more public humiliation, the current full skinny on the bad bus thread.
The haters, the ignorant, the uninformed and trolls are obvioius
and it's a shitty world with them, but aren't they a freak show?
Why do I need a bus when I have a bike?
I bus my bike to Town, 5 miles away.
I don't bike 5 miles.
And other details.
Here goes:
Ron Tello Culley asked a question .
Novtembptoer 22 at th3c:1i3so2 PihM ·
Hello from Big Bear. Does anybody have a problem with the new Bus/Trolly? I do.
NO BIKE RACKS. I had to bring my bike aboard and I got injured in the process. I contacted the Bus People about it. No satisfaction there.
It seems not a lot of planning went into the new roll-out.
Another thing: I find that the Trolly is not SAFE at any speed. No seatbelts, hardwood seats and the pull cords are up high so ya gotta stand up to grab it.
Just 'cuz something is new and free doesn't mean it's good.
Discuss.

UPDATE: Bike racks were ordered up prior to the Trolly roll-out. Supply chain fail. I believe the Bus is doing well with what they have, and oh yes...word is the hardwood seats will be padded soon. So there. 🚌

I have a big problem using it, try and cross a 4 lane road when it's busy, the red line is redundant in places,
At least I get plenty of exercise walking,
I don't care if it's free,

Not on a Suicide Mission Vehicle. A warning to others: beware of the Trollys. Corrections are in process, so I am told from Trolly HQ.

They’re calling it a Trolley but it’s a bus dressed up as a Trolley. I was born and lived in New York City for 30 years and busses in any city don’t have seat belts, they don’t have cushions, and you usually have to stand up to pull the cord. The Big Bear Trolley is an amenity, we’re not paying for it so don’t complain.

When I was growing up we rode the trolley to Portland and they were just as you described, wood seats and no plush cushions, and yes we had to stand to pull the cord. We rode those for years and they were electric. Eventually, they were replaced with gas busses. Oh and no seatbelts and no bike rack. We also had to pay for our ride. No wonder us old crusty people think the younger generations are too soft. Lol

Then don’t ride it, you’re an adult by complaining this will just be taken away you know how to keep yourself safe if you knew they didn’t have a bike rack why did you go on it? Just ride your bike?, Sounds to me you’re just finding someone way to sue them shame on you😡, When I heard this was being done I thought how nice of the city to do something for the people that live here and the tourist

Debbie Schroepfer Exactly it makes no sense why does he get on the trolley if he has a bike? And he complained about everything I think they should ban him because if he feels he was hurt on there he should never be allowed to be on there again

Free works so well for me since my income is tight. The trolley I was on had seatbelts and for a relatively short ride the hard seat didn't bother me in the least. If my biggest concerns were seatbelts and hard seats I'd be overjoyed.

I don't think people have come and said especially when they don't see a bike rack on the trolley and they think they can bring their bike on what was the driver thinking

Eveeyones saying dont complain, bet yoy arent the one who have to ride the bus. Some people including myself have to ride that trolly for 30 60 mins. And yes those mfing seats hurt my back. Having a bus is a luxury yes, but theres pro and cons to everthing.
